Family Dentistry in Ripley

Dr. Brien Polk is originally from Nashville, Tennessee. He graduated with a degree in biology from Middle Tennessee State University and then went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. He completed extensive training in sedation dentistry for adults and children through the Miami Valley Hospital in 2010. Dr. Polk has worked in pediatric dentistry for 14 years and was on staff at West Tennessee Healthcare Dyersburg Hospital before joining Elite Dental Care.

Dr. Polk has two sons, Henry (11) and Thomas (9). His oldest attends Dyersburg Middle, and his youngest attends Dyersburg Intermediate. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, attending concerts, playing the guitar and spending time with his family and friends.

With more than 20 years of experience, Dr. Phil Carter is committed to helping you feel confident in your smile and comfortable in the chair. Originally from Detroit, Michigan, he earned a bachelor of science in microbiology from the University of Michigan and worked in clinical microbiology and biotechnology before pursuing dentistry. Inspired by a local oral surgeon and a college classmate, he chose a path that combined science and service.

Dr. Carter earned his doctor of dental surgery from Howard University and completed an advanced education in general dentistry residency at East Carolina University. He looks forward to building lasting relationships with patients through expert, compassionate care. Outside the office, he enjoys traveling and deep sea fishing.
